It was dark by the time we arrived back in Monterey where we had left on minivan 5 days earlier. We decided to stay in Monterey for the night and return the reantal car in the morning to the Monterey Airport. In the morning we drove up to Foster City to visit a few days with Mabel and Allan MacKenzie (another couple we met on our TransAm). We rode two days with them on some of their favorite routes in the south bay area.

One of the routes was from San Mateo to Sanford University and back. This route would be used in 2003 for our California Dreamin TransAm Union. At Sanford we visited the art museum and Roden Sculpture Garden. During our visit with Allan and Mabel we visited Dennis, Geri and Joanna Tsai for dinner in the City (SF). The Tsais' are another family we met on 2001 on our TransAm.

We visited our son who had just relocated back to the Bay Area for lunch prior to driving up to Napa. In Napa we visited the DeRosa Preserve in the Carneros Region. Which has a fabulous art collection.
