Today's ride will depart from in front of the Hotel Denver at 8:30AM. It is the longest ride of the week. Although this route is long, it isn't the most difficult with regards to elevation gain. About 5.2 miles of this route is on the shoulder on I-70 in each direction from Exit 109 to Exit 114 between West Glenwood Springs & East New Castle. This ride heads west to New Castle and makes a loop to northwest through farm and ranch valleys of the western slope of the Rockies. We will pass by two state parks before descending Rifle Gap into Rifle prior to returning through Silt and New Castle to Glenwood Springs. Rifle is your best option for lunch.
