| If you are uncomfortable with riding on the interstate or prefer a shorter option, then we recommend that you drive west on I-70 to the New Castle Exit 105. Turn right from the exit the City Market and other shops are on your right. This option will shorten the route by nearly 24 miles. This ride heads west to New Castle and makes a loop to northwest through farm and ranch valleys of the western slope of the Rockies. We will pass two state parks before descending Rifle Gap into Rifle. Rifle is your best option for lunch. Plan to depart Glenwood Springs at 9:00AM in order to meet up with the other riders at the City Market around 9:20AM. | ||||||
